Nobody knows how to work a crowd like an experienced exotic dancer on
stage. Today Mary Taylor uses those same skills from behind the podium
to delight men and women with the story of her journey from a Catholic
School girl to exotic dancer to entrepreneur – with all the humorous and
difficult lessons learned along the way. She also pulls back the curtain
on the hidden world of the exotic entertainment industry and it’s
deterioration in the last 30 years from stage play to foreplay.
The epiphany that finally served to change Ms. Taylor’s life encourages
others to rethink their own priorities and goals. Audiences learn how to
uncover their inner stripper to peel back the emotional layers that prevent
them from being fully self-expressed in relationships.
Mary lives a unique life and hers is a unique story. Her belief in the
excellence that is within our grasp will inspire all of us to reach up
and grab it. But unlike exotic dancing, we can do so with our feet firmly
planted on the ground and all our clothes nicely in place.

Uncover Your Inner Stripper
Prospective audience: Women ages 25+)

Mary Taylor, author of Bedroom Games, believes that deep down every woman wonders what it would be like to perform an erotic striptease. Wonder no more.

Mary’s fun and instructional “Peel and Play” presentation has shown thousands of women how to uncover their inner strippers. In a presentation as inspiring as her past dance performances, Mary will use amusing and informative stories from her former life to demonstrate how anyone can overcome their fears and gain self-confidence while learning to perform an erotic striptease for their partners. Willing members of the audience will be called upon to join Mary on stage as they learn to “stir the pot,” do the “queen’s wave” and place their “boobs on Bob.”

Our love lives will never be the same.

Undress For Success
Prospective audience: Associations, Men and Women

Peel away the layers of accumulated fear and insecurity that hold you back.

Mary’s colorful and entertaining stories from a career as an exotic dancer contain three lessons we can all use. All experience is relevant: No matter how unusual your life experiences might be, they contain a seed of an idea to improve your company’s performance or create a business of your own. There is no fear greater than appearing naked in public: No one ever stops being afraid – the fearless just do what they have to do despite their fear. You don’t need external trappings such as the right car and clothes: Mary shows how ATTITUDE is all you need to engage and motivate people.

Stage Play to Foreplay
Prospective audience: Students, Social Service Workers,
Police Forces and Government

There is nothing exotic about the business of exotic dancing. The past thirty years have seen it degenerate from stage play to little more than foreplay. But the public and the media persist in judging the current industry from the morality point of view, completely missing the seriousness of the labor exploitation that goes on. Exotic dancers tolerate working conditions that we would prefer to think do not exist in the developed world.

Businesswoman, author and activist Mary Taylor has seen it all from the inside. She describes her life as an exotic dancer – from the thrill of male admiration to her struggle with drugs and alcohol and an addiction to “easy” money. Finally, Mary reveals the epiphany that changed her life.

Wherever Mary speaks people ask the question “why do men go to strip clubs?” Like everything about her lively presentation, Mary’s answer may surprise you.

This is a heart felt thanks from all of us at Miller Thomson for your wonderful presentation at our women's event.  We all had such fun and we have had so many great emails back thanking us and you that I am sure you will be back again in the Guelph area soon.  I am including a few of the comments in my email so you can see the kind of feedback we received.

First, let me say that delegates from the OSHN conference were still talking about your session when the Sexuality Conference ended yesterday.  You were unquestionably a hit!

Also...given the great success of your workshop at OSHN, I would like to recommend to my planning committee that we consider your session for a fun part of the main conference in future years.  Many thanks,

On behalf of the planning committee I would like extend our sincere appreciation for your participation in the TOTAL WOMAN Show, March 22 & 23, 2003 at the London Convention Centre. By all accounts, it was a most successful inaugural event and we had close to 2000 people visit over the two days.  Your presentations were certainly the unanticipated hit of the weekend!  Your talks captivated the audience every time and left them wanting more.

Hi Mary - Just wanted to send you a personal & hearty thanks for your presentation last weekend in London. You are the consumate performer, a robust bundle of fresh air, just what the Total Woman Show and London needed in the middle of winter. I do hope that you enjoyed the experience and will come back again soon.

I wanted to thank you for coming to the Kitchener Waterloo Woman Show. You were a real hit with the audience and I would certainly love to have you back next year. I hope the trip here was worthwhile for you and that you had some fun. I've had tremendous feedback from guests and the Title Sponsor seems happy as well. So, I think we've built a great foundation for 2004. Thanks again!

Thank you again for sharing your experiences with us last Thursday. It was the most fun that any speaker has provided in quite some time.  You left us with a sense of how much you enjoy life and your new business and also how serious you are about your mission to improve the plight of women working in the erotic dancing industry.  Good luck in all of your endeavours!
